Please take your litter home! by Ian A Kirk on Flickr.I found this drake mallard at Hatchpond this morning. Although it could walk and fly and swim it was clearly a bit sluggish compared to other ducks - too quick for me to catch unfortunately. I wonder how long the plastic from a four-pack of cans has been around its throat? RSPCA have been advised.

funnywildlife: Pachyderm Love at Kruger NP from a lonely young bull &his little rhino friend. “The young elephant had recently been kicked out of the herd and had been alone for the first time. This is usually a confusing time for young elephants who eventually team up with an older bull who mentors them on proper elephant behavior.
