Pachyderm Love at Kruger NP from a lonely young bull &his little rhino friend. “The young elephant had recently been kicked out of the herd and had been alone for the first time. This is usually a confusing time for young elephants who eventually team up with an older bull who mentors them on proper elephant behavior. This encounter ended without incident and both animals eventually went their their ways! Be like this Elephant, Hug a Rhino!” Courtesy of Tinga Game Lodge, Kruger Nat. Park.

coon kitty love

This raccoon never left the side of a cat who was dying of a tumor. The cat was comforted for the final hours of her life by her long time friend.

Baby Elephant to the Rescue!!

Kruger Game Preserve. Two adolescent elephants were mock fighting, which you see quite often. They were probably brothers, as one was larger. In the same area were also a female elephant and tiny baby. While the two teens were fighting, the smaller one got shoved down and was having lots of trouble getting up. The larger one was trying to help, then the tiny baby came running to help rescue the one on the ground. This baby was probably a sibling as well.

“Never, never, be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way”. !! Marthur Luther King (jnr)
